Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hobbs, age 81, of Newnan, died at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on April 6, 2019. She was born in Fulton County on November 27, 1937 to the late Robert Milton Miller and Elizabeth Rae Goodwin Miller. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Ray Miller.
Ann was a retired special needs teacher assistant with the Coweta County School System. She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church where she was active in the senior adult ministry and was a member of the adult choir. Ann loved curating special shoeboxes for Children through the Operation Christmas Child Ministry. She loved gardening, sewing and above all, her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Joe Hobbs; son, William Christopher Hobbs (Jodie); and daughter, Kimberly Allyson Hobbs (Jeffery Smith); sisters, Carol Miller and Mary Cotton (Jack); grandchildren, Anna Hobbs Guest (Curtis) and Candler Hobbs.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Unity Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Danny Wilson and Dr. Phil Pilgrim officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel on Monday, April 8, 2019, 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes at GeorgiaChildren.org.
