Brenda Faye Hulsey passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018, at her home in Senoia, surrounded by family, at the age of 70. She was born Brenda Faye Green in Atlanta on September 16, 1948 to the late Mary Clinton Green and Duel Elisha Green.
Brenda’s family was the center of her life. She was extremely active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and could always be found cheering for her grandchildren at their various sporting events. She worked part-time for Emory Healthcare for 20 years, and attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Sharpsburg.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Hubert Anthony (Tony) Black.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Benjamin Hulsey, her brother, Duel Eugene Green, Jr. (Paula), her sister, Patricia Lynn Green, her daughters, Dawn Hulsey Jankowski (Jim) and Heather Hulsey Black (Tony), and her grandchildren Bryce and Lilli Jankowski, and Austin and Noah Black, as well as extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made as an honor or memorial gift in her name to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America at www.cancercenter.com.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel funeral home in Newnan on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. Pastor Matt Smith will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until service time on Sunday. A committal service will directly follow the funeral at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Following the service the family will meet at Studio 5, Crossroads Church on Highway 16, for a meal.
