Edwin Magyer, 89, of Newnan, died at his residence on December 16, 2018. Edwin was born in Toronto, Ohio on January 1, 1929 to the late Michael Magyer and Anna Olexia Magyer. He is also preceded in death by a son, Steven Magyer and son-in-law, Leslie Gast.
Edwin has been the owner of A&A Center in Jonesboro specializing in recreational and utility trailers for over 30 years. He was of the Catholic faith and was involved in supporting Veteran's organizations along with Youth 4 Christ. Edwin was proud of his service to the country having served in the United States Army. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Vivian Magyer; daughter, Anna Buongiorne and her husband Michael; grandson, Bradley Magyer Buongiorne; daughter; Angelia Hart and her husband David along with their children, Lindsey and Brandon Parks; daughter, Linda Gast and her children, Jason Gast, Terry Gast and Roman Randall. Also surviving is son, Eddie Magyer.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
