Mr. Ronnie King age 61 a life-long resident of Newnan, passed away at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on October 29, 2018. He was born in Newnan to the late Sidney King and Minnie Lou Shelton King. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Henry King, and sister-in-law, Susan Head Hunter.
Ronnie was known for his love of cars and his mechanical abilities. He loved to aggravate his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was his family and providing for them. He and Brenda worked at Shaw Industries in Newnan. Throughout their lives, they were inseparable; friends would say they "were joined at the hip."
Surviving are his spouse of 45 years, Brenda Lee Head King; sons, Ronnie King, Jr. (Sherry) and Brian King; sister, Dianne . Boyd; grandchild, Abigail Lee King; sisters-in-law, Elaine Wilkey (Wayne), Barbara Rogers, Peggy Arrington (Donnie), and Linda King; brother-in-law, Doyle Rogers; nieces, Amanda Daniel Carden, Ashley Roberts, Tammy King Adcock and Sheree King Rogers; nephews, Jacky Boyd, Jr., Steven Boyd, Terry King and Michael Daniel; many other nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate Ronnie's life is at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church, 336 Cline Rd, in Moreland. Pastor Donny Shelton and Pastor T.J. Boyd will be officiating the service.
