Randall Maurice Shoemake, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on August 3, 2018. He was born in Newnan on February 16, 1957 to Douglas Shoemake and Mary Shoemake. He was preceded in death by his son, Austin Shoemake and his brother, Perry Shoemake. Randy was known for his kindness and generosity. Throughout the years, he helped many people in need. He was devoted to his wife and family, and knew Jesus as his Savior. He was a graduate of the University of North Georgia. He enjoyed boating, the beach, reading and photography. Randy never met a stranger, and had a heart for people.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shoemake is survived by his wife, Jana Brantley Shoemake; his daughter, Kellyn Grizzle (Jonathan); his precious grandchild, Keylee Grizzle,adored by her poppy; his step-daughters, Lauren Lyles and Kristen Lyles; his brother, Jim Shoemake; nephew, Pastor Trenton Shoemake (Jessica); nieces, Olivia, Alana, and Madison Shoemake,; mother-in-law, Bessie Brantley, who loved him as a son; sister-in-law, Vivian Shoemake; brother-in-law, Frank Brantley (Kelly) and a very special family, Brandi Marino, and her children, Piero and Brielle Marino, who loved Randall and knew him as Poppy.
A funeral service will be held at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Trent Shoemake will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time on Tuesday. A committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
