Mrs. Elizabeth Jene Cook “Beth” Dickman, age 55, of Cumming passed away on June 11, 2018 at the Northside Forsyth Hospital after a seven-month brave battle with cancer. Beth was born on September 5, 1962 in Anderson, South Carolina to Jene and Melinda Cook.
Beth was first and foremost a wife, mother and grandmother. Her biggest thrill in life was caring for her husband of 25 years, Andrew William Dickman, Sr., her children, Andrew William, Jr. “Will” (Kelly Tarkington), Micah Joseph, Margaret “Maggie” Grace and Thomas Noah and her grandson, Andrew William, III. “Liam”. Beth supported her family through all the years of little league sports continuing through her children’s involvement at West Forsyth High School. Beth loved life and lived it to the fullest, never meeting a stranger, and always laughing and smiling. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to Andrew and her children, she is survived by her parents; siblings, Mark and Dolores Cook, Deborah and Neil Fisher, Mary and Jeff Higgins, Paul and Stacey Cook; grandmother, Margaret Grace Burns; brothers and sisters in law, Louise and Randy Cherry, Steven and Cindy Dickman, Joseph and Angela Dickman, Christina and Rob Stephens; in-laws, J.V. and Carmen Dickman; 19 nieces and nephews and their spouses; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew; extended family and a host of friends.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road Cumming, GA 30041. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040.
